Ottawa should do it if they ever somehow get close to making this type of robbery on Leafs.

If that were ever on the table... in some alternate universe... ottawa should certainly do it.

Marner for a cap dump a first and two seconds. I would say the value is too good.

I don't know. I think it would be nice for the sens. If they get Drysdale at 5, then losing Branstomm would not matter. And if you can Get Marner for him, you do It. That said, the leafs don't touch it unless you add Tkahuck at least.

Sens are in a good position to get the elite help at forward they need through the draft. They could add two or three elite forward prospects in the 1st round, they don't really need to add an 11mil winger at this point.

i mean, if they were giving up anything remotly worth Marner in the trade that might fly, but this price is so low that not taking it would be just dumb

I think the realistic ask Toronto would have for Marner outweighs the actual value he ultimately brings.

I think that the skillset that Brady Tkachuk brings, with the upside he has, is harder replace than Marner. Sens could easily draft a guy like Lucas Raymond who has a very similar skillset to Marner. He might not ever reach that level, but he's got comparable tools.

Maybe not at this stage their careers. I think it will be a different story in three years when Brady is as old as Marner is now.

Again, if the Leafs are trading Marner, they need a better return for in-division.
