I think every team involved gets what they need. Toronto gets rid of Nylander, freeing up salary space, and gets Pesce, a proven D who will improve their blueline. They also get Hinostroza, who will help with depth since Timashov and Shore are gone.
Arizona gets to get rid of Dvorak, who hasn't had the best career with the Coyotes. They get Nylander, who will compliment Keller and Hall/Kessel on the first line.
The Hurricanes have too many defencemen, and Pesce is one that is expendable. They also get Dvorak, a young center who hasn't realized his potential yet. He will move Staal down to the 4th line.

Once Hinestroza is signed this deal will save Tor about 750k at best. So I will say what I have said a hundred times, once more.

Nylander is on a team friendly deal at this point. He is not the contract that will get Tor any cap freedom. They need to move Marner, it's just what has to happen. Sorry to everyone who loves him, and hates Nylander but 4 million is a bigger gap in money than it is in their skill levels.

I see what you're saying. I personally think the Leafs' solution to their cap problem is to trade Matthews, since the Leafs have a goal scorer in Tavares and will get more in return for Matthews. Plus, they have guys like Nick Robertson and maybe Jeremy Bracco coming up and loking for top six spots. Moving either Nylander or Matthews seems like the best option at this point.

Carolina needs to get rid of a defenceman and Dvorak will give them good depth at center, a position where they had an aging Jordan Stall as 3rd line center. He hasn't yet realized his potential.
Plus, the Canes are in win-now mode, so trading a D for picks and prospects doesn't seem like the right idea

Matthews just is too much of a crux. The leafs have lots of play makers but only two true finishers. If you trade Auston you make Willy and Zach worse. They will still be good but then Willy drops to the second line and works with whoever. Zach Mitch and Tavares becomes your top line, which is insane but it's all your scoring now. Willy needs to be a 2 on a line. I'd rather have Tavares working as a one with whoever one the second line than WIlly working with whoever. I still dont understand why you put Nylander on the Market before Mitch but it's still wrong. If you think Bracco is gonna look for a top 6 spot over guys like Kapanen you're dreaming.

kapanen's only getting in the top six because he can play with Matthews or Marner. Bracco's probably traded anyway

Carolina needs to move lefties not the only long term righty. To top it off, Dvorak isn’t of the same value as one of the most underrated 3Ds in the league. Carolina keeps Pesce as we have 2 players better than Dvorak in Trocheck and Necas.

I'm not sure why people think Toronto wants to get rid of Nylander. That cap hit will look great in the coming years.
