I think the Oilers say no. Until our young LHD are ready in a year or two we can’t afford to trade Nurse.

Two of Boston’s three best prospects are LD.

Klef larsson
Russell bear
Jones bouch/benning
Jones looked top 4 capable but can shelter him to start. Russell is fine as a filler. obviously loosing some mobility on the back end but I think jones will step up.

I dont know much about them but just by looking at their stats, they don't seem like to have an offensive upside

So? They still have McAvoy who over the last 3 years is top 20 in 5v5 points among d-men. If they re-sign Krug then they have a guy whose top 10 in points among d-men the last 3 years. Grz has more offensive upside than he's shown, as does Carlo.

Lauzon is a traditional shutdown d-man. Vaak actually has some offensive upside, but nothing mind blowing.

DeBrusk since entering the league is a top 20 goal scorer among all LW

Neither project as a replacement for Chara. But it doesn't matter since Edmonton wouldn't take the deal anyhow.

Nurse isn’t a replacement for chara either. The replacement for chara is on the bruins roster.

The Bruins management loves them. They’re never going after a left d

I like it for the Bruins.

I look at it as a top pair dman for a top 6 forward.

A Nurse-Mcavoy pairing would be outstanding for years and this would allow Mcavoy to become way more offensive.

In other words as a Bruins fan I take the deal.

I think it’s fairly realistic... but can understand and respect both sides of the debate.

Both teams say no, Nurse is worth more then DeBrusk+A late 2nd round pick.

You're right, Nurse is much, much better offensively.

The bruins don’t exactly struggle to produce offensively from the back end. He isn’t needed.

Good. The trade doesn't work for Edmonton.
