Description
This offseason is going to be one if not the most important in this franchise history. They are in the middle of a rebuild and got 2 in the first 5 overall picks plus they could get a third 1st round pick. I'll try to make moves if I was in Pierre Dorion shoes.

First off with the picks. Since Lafreniere will get picked 1st and in a previous agm I've said L.A. are going to take Byfield second, the Sens take Stutzle 3rd overall. In 4th overall Detroit won't take Drysdale since they already got Hronek and Seider at this position. With that being said Ottawa takes Drysdale 5th overall. For the third 1st round they got I think they got wait to see how things go in the 24 teams postseason if the Isles get eliminated or they beat Florida and don't get the 1st overall pick I think Ottawa should try to trade it with their 2nd round pick (myabe add more) to try to get a few spots up and draft Askarov.

Next does those two first players starts straight in the NHL or not? I think Stuetzle has a good chance to be crack this lineup but he will have competition. Tkachuk is a lock for the first line LW. Then you got Formenton who's ready and Duclair got a good season would who will for the other 3 lines. As for Drysdale I think he should develop one more year as the Sens are likely to make Brannstrom a full-time regular next season. They also sign Zub who will be in his first season in North America and I don't think he signed to be in Belleville.

Next up they too sign players in order to reach cap floor. First of they sign Duclair, Brown and Tierney. They played really good and deserves to be sign by Ottawa. Then on the ufa I would sign Borowiechi. He's a heart and soul guy, he's from Ottawa play there is whole career and is loved by his teammates. Sure he's a 6-7th defenseman but he's a type of player a rebuilding team need, kind of a big brother for all the newcomers. Then maybe not a popular choice but I would go with Simmonds. Yes he lost his scoring touch but he's a good player to have around for a rebuilding team. I sign him for two years because he might get the same cap hit for 1 year but the extra year might be what makes him go to Ottawa. Right now I think Buffalo (current team) should sign him, but since they made all changes on management lately and their too much incertaintly with this team he walks off. On another agm I've sign Gudas in San Jose but I think Ottawa could be a good fit too for the same reason as Simmonds and Borowiechi but I don't think Gudas will be interested to go to Ottawa.

They are doing a good rebuild and I think in two others season (when Ryan contract gets off the books) the rebuild will be over and this will the time the Sens starts to spend big which is why I signs all my players (except for Borowiechi) for 2 years.

I really don't love Ottawa taking Drysdale. I get why it makes sense, but I think they need two forwards. Especially if they view Stutzle as a winger, then you have to get Rossi 5th. I think Stutzle is a C, but they're still better off with a guy like Raymond or even Perfetti, rather than Drysdale.

Also there's no way Wolanin isn't in the lineup. He's probably Ottawa's 2nd best Dman next year. And if Duclair is going to be on the 4th line, they'd be better off trading him. He's not going to succeed on the 4th line, and his value would crater.

Tim Stutzle already said that he plans on playing in the DEL, Next season he's not playing in the NHL this season unless he changes his mind.

If Ottawa takes Drysdale their D-core got looks like this in a few years:
Chabot- Drysdale
Brannstrom- Bernard-Docker

Each as at least top 4 potential and are very young. If they reach their potential it could becomes a scary top 4. Chabot also needs help on the blueline. I think he played two straight games with more then 30 minutes and if I'm correct they were back-to-back games. That means 2 things. The coach believes in Chabot and he doesn't trust that much the rest of the games. Yes it was on a period where they were injuries on the blueline but still it's another reason why I think they should draft another dman. Ottawa needs a little bit of everything.
