Edit* Oh you're a Buffalo fan, now I'm confused

No thx from Buffalo. Why should we trade #8 for an as yet unproven player at the NHL level? Try the deal Nylander for Jokiharju, I saw a couple of Ottawa fans offering Brown for Mittelstadt. If we trade #8, then this should be for proven 2C.

Askarov at 10 is the highest I would say because the higher he goes it's a bit of a risk, plus there are a lot of good forwards in this draft same with defenseman I don't see a Goalie going higher than 10.

Switch in Batherson or Norris all 3 of them are NHL ready

#8 for a 2C by itself. I'm not even sure that is enough for #8.

I think Ottawa would go with need and Askarov is good enough to go top 10

Looking for which player, we could also include in package #8 one of our RD or/and prospect.

Yeah Buffalo declines, Krug isn't wasting his time in Ottawa. And fat chance of Ottawa winding up with Byfield, Drysdale and Askarov. One of Drysdale or Askarov could go to Detroit at #4.

I would rather try to trade Montour for Tierney or 2021 second + prospect.

Brown is a fully developed middle 6 prospect - #8 is going to be a middle 6 prospect 2 or 3 years away.
