Description

Devils add Raanta/ Stepan to solidify goalie situation/lineup. Allows Hughes to move to the1st line and center 2nd PP unit. Ideally Stepan/ Raanta play decent and Devils move them at the deadline.

ARZ gets less value for Raanta/ Stepan but dont retain and clear $9,250,000 in cap space to try and resign Hall. Kinda like Subban's trade last offseason

Trading for Maatta/ bringing back Greene isn't great but allows Smith not to be rushed into playing rough minutes and allows Greene to get to 1000 NHL games for his career. I believe Smith fills Butcher role, bottom pairing minutes with PP time.

CHI gets a left handed PP specialist for Maatta ( not sure on Maatta's value but most posts had him going for a 3rd, thought Butcher might be worth a 2nd)
