It is, but the bruins still don’t take it. They aren’t paying their second line RW near 11 million. That’s not how the bruins build a team. That’s why they’re good. It’s a no from boston, respectfully though.

I think you misread what i said? The trade is fair. Doesn’t matter. The bruins aren’t doing it because it just makes zero sense the way the team is built on the ice, and cap wise. See what i mean?

If that's a serious question. No, it isn't fair.

You can't trade an elite player for replacement ones. Dubas would be crucified. But this will never happen in any case.

Marner as part of a trade for Eichel would already make more sense.

I just dont see Boston being willing to trade Toronto the exact piece they need on the backend. Marner is a great talent, but that cap hit doesn't fit how Boston runs their team. I also don't see why they'd want to move a 23yr old top 10-15 shutdown d-men.

Any alternatives instead of Carlo that has the same playing style?

From Boston? No. Maybe a guy like Sergachevif you could do a LHD though.

Unless you're adding a 1st round pick going to LA, the Kings easily decline that trade.

Corerction: Bruins reject lol
All these guys wanna speak for boston but they are just wrong

Bruins dont want an overpayed RW (we can get a cheaper RW if we want
Not giving up Coyle (who we just extended) and carlo (who is emerging as one of the best defensive dmen in the league - on a good deal too) and screw ritchie whatever lol

Bruins reject, and ignore these poser (literally posing as bruins fans)

AgainL as was said: value wise its not bad, but bruins dont do it for the pieces

You must not understand value, Carlo, Coyle and Ritchie does bot equal the 5th best RW in the league. Regardless of him being overpaid or not that is a steal. Not only do you remove the best winger from an arch rival you gain insane depth and increase scoring dramatically. You are killing 2 birds wirh 1 stone.

And on the flip side, you remove your arch rivals top shutdown d-men (and one if the top 10-15 shutdown d-men in the NHL) while address your teams biggest need. You also remove their center depth and put them in a cap situation that will make it hard for them to keep the team together.

Little point of order here, the leafs aren’t the bruins arch rival. Historically, that’s Montreal. In terms of who worries me as a bruins fan, that’s tampa. Toronto might be 7th or 8th on my list, purely because it’s a divisional opponent.

This is a fair offer but the bruins decline. I think they’re likely pretty happy with the way the organization is built, and don’t want to blow it up.
