Unexciting, but fair and realistic take.

Keep Robertson playing with SDA for the Petes and hope both mature and grow chemistry which transfers to both of them starring on the Leafs 3rd line with Kapanen as the "vet" for the 21-22 season.

Carolina doesn’t need or want Johnssom. We have Foegele and he will be cheaper.

It's not Carolina only, just chose a random team to deal him for a 2nd.

Robertson has zero to prove in the OHL.

Adding a note of such would be nice. Also, I doubt he is worth a 2nd at this point. Flat cap, over 3 million AAV cap hit, and only a 30 point pace isn’t going to get a good pick.

He can't play for the Marlies because of his Jr. age. Play Robertson on the 4th line and you risk he'll develop just like Puljujarvi has. I'd say let Robertson have another entry level slide and than in 21-22, you have Hyman's, Barbabanov's and maybe Mikheyev's contracts up for UFA and Robertson will still have his 3 years under contract. Though I do like Robertson with Spezza but I would want them to get 3rd line minutes not less than 10 on the 4th line. So Kerfoot could be moved, the 4th line C could be Goat or Brooks and the extra money saved can be pocketed for resigning Freddie or adding a Dman.

He was hurt this year, but i've seen worse players get 2nds.

If Robertson is as good as we think he is, delaying the contract doesn't matter since you'd be moving other pieces around to fit him in.

In non flat cap years, sure. Not a lot of cap space for 3+ million depth players who aren’t going to 40 points without a really high shooting percentage.

Sure. But if you shopped him to 30 other teams, someboyd would offer a 2nd.

I assume Williams retires after this season, could replace him. I don't think anyone other than maybe Geekie could make roster next season

Canes will look for a righty that can take draws to replace Williams.

As far as making the roster:
Bishop, if re-signed
Bokk
Cotton
Geekie all have real chances

Outside shots: Rees & Lorentz (if re-signed)
