no more 1st overall picks for u guys lul. If you got the 2020 you would have got 5 in the span of 10 years and your team already wasted 2 of them (one isnt in the NHL anymore and the other you traded way under value). No more. You got your pieces and u should do well in the playoffs no need for u to get Laf.

Agreed it would be fewer parts coming back but if I am not getting an elite first line player back I do not listen to any trade offers on Eichel. Middle six forwards and mid to late first round picks don't move the needle for a player of Eichel's caliber. If Edmonton were to listen on McDavid. The Sabres would have to start an offer with Eichel or Dahlin going back or Edmonton moves on to the next team no matter how many pieces are offered.

No. An unproven and super-pumped prospect for a proven #1 franchise center who can win you games single-handedly? Absolutely not a 1-for-1. Value wise from Edmonton without Lafreniere coming to Buffalo I'd say:

RNH (he signs an extension)

another prospect: Benson/Broberg/Safin etc etc

Not a very good offer for Eichel, even if RNH is extended by Buffalo it's not a overly good offer, I really don't think the Oilers have the assets to get Eichel.
