I see this happening. Tampa gets a cheap rhd and he helps with the cap issues while detroit gets a solid LHD and depth center.

You’re overpaying Sergachev. He hasn’t shown anything yet that justifies giving him $64 million.

That’s a fair assessment. What would you offer?

Probably $4.5 million for 2 or 3 years. Simliar to McAvoy.

That would work, leaves DET more cap space to maximize another deal or two over the next couple years.

Tyler Johnson doesn’t fit our rebuild and Hronek for Sergachev is a lateral move. Factor in Hronek on an ELC vs. that 8x8 and this is pretty bad for Detroit.

I agree. I'd rather have Hronek and a 2nd for Johnson. You are giving away a 2nd for a player that won't be with us by time we make a run at the cup.

Can’t argue with the 8x8 (addressed in previous reply). Really just coming to terms with another 3 to 4 years of the rebuild and throwing ideas out about the backend. Sergachev, Seider and Drysdale seemed like a good start but not a hill I would die on by any means. If anything I’m still in the draft a forward at 4OA camp.
