Revisiting a old idea

Description
Not sure the Value is any good here. But it looks like Carolina is heavy at center prospects and could use some wings. I added Staal to the trade since I think he would waive to Minnesota and I assume Hurricanes could use his cap space and roster spot. Let me know how off I am. I'm sure Necas isn't for sale but all things change.

I just don't see Carolina exchanging their 2017 first-rounder, who looks pretty sure like he's going to turn out, for a 2021 first-rounder who is a stab in the dark, even with Kunin thrown in.

Canes are trying to win now.

I don’t see the Canes trading their future 2C,that is better than Kunin and an elite shutdown center who is overpaid.

I assumed Suzuki is the future 2c.

I assumed Suzuki is the future 2c.

Suzuki could be in 4-5 years
Necas will be a 2C candidate starting the later half of next season

**** yes, I want Necas so badly. It's kind of a lot to give but I'd probably be willing to pay that

appreciate the support but looks like I need to find a more appealing offer.

Unfortunately the Necas ship probably sailed when the Canes traded for Skjei. We may have been able to get him for Brodin with an extension and likely a good prospect but I highly doubt Carolina wants another D now

To add to Necas’ value he is Expansion draft exempt and probably 50+ points next season.

We need less LHD and could be as good as Necas, cheap, roster players to provide the needed scoring to support the core and win. I don’t think any team would be able to provide the value to make it worth the trade with the flat cap.
