I want Raymond. Sens don't have forwards who can carry the puck at high speeds, and make plays with dynamic skill like that. He's my number one choice by far.

Probably depends on who they get at #3. If they get Byfield, I think they'll probably select Raymond, Perfetti or Holtz. If they get Stutzle, they should go with Rossi.

Drysdale is an option but their depth at RD is pretty good with Brannstrom, Thomson and JBD. The 2021 draft is stacked defensively and Ottawa likely has another lottery pick next year. Someone like Clarke had 38 points in 53 games as a 16 year old in the OHL and he's still ranked #5 (#4 among defensemen) at the TSN 2021 prospect list. I think Ottawa will focus in a defenseman next year

You don't see them taking byfield and rossi if both available?

They should fire at hall as a ufa and pick off a tender, and see what this team is, speed up the rebuild. Those 3 seconds next year are kind of intriguing with expansion draft going right around then, to upgrade any protection places.

Even if they try to compete sooner than later toronto, boston and tampa will still be miles better

Tbh, no simply because they got a lot of middle 6 center prospects with Norris, Brown and Pinto. They have White who I think will be moved to the wing (like they did with Batherson). Adding Byfield and Rossi would be a bit too much considering their lack of high-end wingers. IMO, the Sens should target a center and a winger in the top 5

My thought was the youth was going to start to come into there own a long with this draft class, so adding some key ufas this year might put it all together in two years, when some key pieces on Toronto, Tb, Boston age out. Wildcard next year, division playoff spot a year later, and possibly a division crown in 3 years

Andersson could be heading that way with rubber, he has seen, and cap issues and d issues might get ottawa there sooner than later. I just think that possibly a Matt Murray add, and a Taylor hall add, could get the fan base a little excited

Goalies age really well, they're better in their old age than skaters

I’m not a ottawa fan by any means, but would be nice to see some success and the battle of Ontario back, and a couple Ontario boys on there side, might make it kind of interesting. Melynuk shine it up enough to sell it. I was looking at teams where hall made the most sense, and kept coming back to Ottawa, but probably not going to happen. My thought was a need of a chabot type behind him, a cap with room, and some speed to skate on a line with him. Doesn’t check the cup contender box, or fancy big city, but back to Ontario close to home.
