Toronto would not Trade Nylander for Bertuzzi. Nylander is way better and faster already. Maybe Toronto would do Bertuzzi+ High picks. I highly doubt that though.

Toronto loses the STL trade, Allen isnt worth Johnsson, as he hasn’t been good since binnington came out. That said, Vince Dunn is not worth a first round pick.

And finally, Ottawa will not be trading their prospects for Allen and Kerfoot. They’re building by their prospects, not by acquiring older players.

Kudos for thinking outside the box bro, and not following everyone else’s ideas! 👊

What does this do for the Leafs? Why are the Leafs trading for Allen without dumping Freddy, even though they're flipping him?

thanks tired of same old trades...like i said Nylander for Bertuzzi is to acquire a grittier guy that can also score....maybe replaces Hyman in a couple of years...did not add picks was just going for targets i thought could help...i'm trading Johnsson for Dunn...Allen is added to help Blues cap to be able to sign Pietrangelo....we then flip Allen for a young cheaper 3C....i chose Ottawa but this could be any other team...moves are done to acquire guys for now Dunn & Bertuzzi) and for later if we lose Rielly and Hyman

I’d do it from the Wings. I’d really like to Bert play in the playoffs (he looked great in AHL/Guelph playoffs).

Blues would be dumb to trade Dunn especially for those spare parts.

What are you on about? Allen has been one of the best goalies in the league since Binnington emerged. And Dunn is definitely worth a 1st. It's like you just started with hockey today.

Blues wont be able to sign Dunn .....that's why you get the 1st pick and we take Allen.....i made this trade based on an article that said Habs could offer sheet Dunn and only cost a 2nd.....this gives you a 1st....a scoring winger and cap space to sign Pietrangelo...you dont want Johnsson then leave him out

You might not be able to sign Dunn.....you have Pietrangelo to sign and need the cap space.....you might not wanna trade Dunn....but might have to...read an article about the Habs might wanna offer sheet Dunn at just over 4mil....this way you get Johnsson who you can keep or trade for a pick and a 1st round pick,,,or just do 1st rounder for Dunn....we keep Johnsson

Offer sheet rumors always come out and it's just wishful thinking. Honestly I'd rather have the next 8 yrs of Dunn than Pietrangelo if the cap wouldn't allow for both. I really cant see the Blues moving Dunn or Parayko for cap space. Guys like Allen, Steen, Bozak, Perron, Sundqvist, etc. would all make more sense. And if not, then Petro walks and everyone moves on.

i get that....but this is all for fun and who knows what teams really are going to do....it's easy to say trading Allen,Bozak,Perron ans Sundquist would make more more sense....but go find 4 or 5 teams willing and able to to take those and what is it gonna cost ya to ship them out

Def wouldnt be simple to do, I'm just saying my opinion is that trading Dunn would be a huge mistake. If a team can take advantage of STL and grab him they'd be happy, I just don't think it will come to that.

FWIW trading Allen and Bozak and buying out Steen is enough room to keep everyone else. Would come down to Bozak's 10-team no-trade list if I had to guess.
