i wouldn't mind cogliano at the deadline but i think the avs would need a sweetener to take on his whole salary for next season.

The Canucks would trade him with only the one year left. So the Avs get him only for the 20-21 season

Pass. Avs don’t have tons of cap space to waste on 3rd line expensive players

Don’t the Avs have quite a bit of cap space? Pretty sure they could afford him for one seaso

No but with the small add on the Avs get, it’s worth the one year. Could be great with the young players and he fits their system really well. I think he’d be a great add for one season

They have 7m in a flat cap next season once they sign all their RFAs. 3.25m in Cogs Eats up a big chunk of that cap space they can use to add to the 2nd line.

Don’t see where he fits. Avs already have a slew of 3rd line guys. The goal is to add to the 2nd line. If they wanted another 3rd liner they wil just reup namestinkov who is younger and shown gels with the team.

Ahhhh. See I assumed the Avs had about 10-11 in cap space. Fair enough haha

Hughes-Pietrangelo would be one hell of a pairing

gotta find someone else to take Cogliano though. Avs wouldnt take on that cap with no real incentive, they are better off using that cap to add a more impactful player

Rangers trade is good. Rangers looking for an LD for like 1 year and cheap and only being 2m works...

Yeah I assumed y’all had 10-11 in space and not 7 so if I knew that that I wouldn’t have made the trade
