Don't think the Sabres would be willing to move Mitts for picks. Would want a roster player or him to be part of a deal for a roster player for them to move him.

That’s a pass from the avs, jost is the better player

You have to add more value with brown for avs to downgrade

And jost isn’t disgruntled or underperforming for his draft class, one of the better forwards in that class, it’s weak draft class but he’s come out as a minimum 3rd line defensive forward.

Brown was picked 1 spot behind him. At the time i was hoping Jost would drop to us. IMO, Brown has the higher offensive potential right now

BUF should take that trade in a heart beat. If you did all those trades Jost is so easily the 1C it isn’t funny, he has at least proven to be a solid middle 6 forward on an elite team the other guys haven’t even proven to be regular NHLers

Jost just is still very good defensively and support offense, he makes solid impacts when he’s on the ice

I would keep the better skater and higher Motor guy in jost.

Yeah sure but i think Brown has top 6 potential. Give him a speedy winger and a sniper and he'll be fine

id consider jost for brown if jost ****s the bed in the playoffs. also depends on what the avs do with the rest of the roster. brown would be the cheaper option going forward.

Just where they are, avs can’t be patient waiting for a brown to show up and provide impact In the nhl, the sens can, jost at least they know his floor and what that is is still very useful In the nhl for a team contending

Jost has as many hat tricks in the NHL as Brown does goals and more goals than He does games played. How do you think that?

Because the Sens didnt rush him to the NHL, hes going to prove himself this season.

Legit question he is expected to be 3C or 2C this year for them, and what happens to his role if they do get Byfield?

His issue has always been foot speed. He has the hockey sense and elite playmaking and vision for the NHL. Hes going to be given the 2C next year and see if he can handle it playing with Batherson and possibly Tkachuk or Duclair. He needs to play with quick guys. He played well with Duclair for a bit and Formenton in the AHL. If they get Byfield, he either moves to LW or packaged in a big deal to fill a position of need

which is fine, hes going to carve out a long and respectable career as a 3rd liner based on his solid defensively game and now beginning to PK. If he was around 35 points a season which isnt a stretch....fans would be just drooling over his hard work ethic 2way game.

Which is shocking that people call him a bust from other teams. How can you be a bust when you one of the better forwards in your draft class and you are making positive impacts on an NHL team?

based on what? He has shown flashes of being a productive 2nd liner (ending the season with 7 points in 9 games in an increased role) and is at worst a defensive 3rd liner. Hes only 22 you cant just say he has reached his potential as a 3rd liner. If you dont think he will become anything more then thats one thing but to say he doesnt have any higher potential to be something more doesnt make any sense

Jost is a known commodity for Colorado, and is at the very least a serviceable 3rd liner and fits the team better in a bottom 6 role due to his defensive abilities.
