I was expecting more harsh comments lmao. I added Kerfoot because Mittelstadt is included who still has potential & it actually helps next year to afford Andersen if they decide to re-sign him

If toronto really wanted Jokiharju I could see dubas paying Liligren + Kapenan with a 2nd or just a 2021 1st

Yeah Sabre’s don’t want a first for him or that package. He is basically untouchable. Montour or Ristolainen will be traded and then miller at deadline or after 2021 depending on how borgen develops.

Buf wouldn’t do that. Think what it’d take to pull Sandin. They’re really close to being the same player TBH. Doubt TOR would move Sandin for a late first a year out, so why should Buf?

Bro are you serious? Nylander is exactly what you need. A legit linemate for Eichel.

Jokiharju aint even close to Sandin's value. Sandin is younger, and has more upside. The chicago trade would be where most teams start when negotiating for him.

If a team inquired on Sandin the asking price would be a very good top 4 RHD like Parayko. But in general Sandin is one of those defenseman u dont trade as he was a steal of his draft class.

In general Joki would have less value in a trade vs Sandin. Both have potential, but with his accomplishments, and the fact he is being considered a steal, Sandin is off the books for toronto. But with the gm changes and the fact buffalo is gonna go through another rebuild I have a feeling Dahlin and Eichel will be the only safe players.

I agree, but not at the price of Jokiharju. We do not have the same good young RD who can play a two-way game. Dahlin - Joki can be a great couple in defense for many years to come. Replace Jokiharju with Montour, Risto or Miller and of course I will make this deal.

You might want to actually look up Joki and his accomplishments before saying these things. Same draft position (29) similar numbers in every league, and both considered steals at their draft. Upside is about the same, and they’re one year apart, it’s not like they’re 4/5 years age difference.

Jokiharju is the steal of his draft too, he was probably our best D-man this year. I like how you praise Sandin but say Jokiharju is not as good when Jokiharju is already an NHL top 4 d-man and a defensive force at only 21 years old. IMO Jokiharju is way more valuable than Sandin

the only reason Joki is top 4 rn is Buffalo does not have a good dcore. Ristolainen is a defensive liability, Miller is a shell of his former self, and some people are calling Montours acquisition a mistake, plus one of your defenseman got so fed up he left for russia. Only guy I say is the best other than Joki is Dahlin and yall had to tank for him.

Leafs on the other hand have a dcore with some holes granted but those holes are easier to fix. Lehtonen will replace barries offense and comes at 925k which will be a steal if he achieves similar production to his KHL season which on an offensively gifted team like the leafs is a big possibility. Dermott is becoming a very dangerous defenseman with numbers comparable to many of the best top 4 defenseman in the league when they were his age. Holl showed the hockey world why u never give up on a defenseman. And Lilligren is a late bloomer with potential to become the biggest draft steal seen.

Sandin would be a top 4 if Toronto didnt have Rielly or Muzzin but rn those 2 are the better choices. More experienced and can hold the fort. Sandin will get his chance once muzzin tires but rn there is no need to rush him as Muzzin still plays well.

If sandin played 68 games projections had him at 20-25 points which for a 20 year old dman in his first season would have been amazing. The comparable for that would have been pesce when he was his age. So in general Sandin is just the better of the 2. Joki still has a bright future but Sandin is just a class ahead and hasnt even played that many NHL games.

Yeah and Joki looked the exact same when he played in chi god first year as well. Point total woulda been 28 for his rookie year too. Good possession numbers also were incredible (ozone starts were high for sure, they sheltered him, but still real high). Honestly I don’t get how you can’t see that at their same respective ages they’ve done about the same. Neither is more “hyped “ then the other, and time will tell who’s the better pro. I think they’ll both be studs personally.

In general both are top 4 defenseman. Sure Sandin is slightly better but still Joki is good. As for what happens to him I dont know. Buffalo could keep him in the planned rebuild or move him in there plea for an aggressive rebuild. I will be watching that rebuild though as it could be intriguing to see.

but fair warning Kevyn Adams could shock some people with the trades he makes as by god from the rumors I heard some of his trade proposals seem like gambles for buffalo.

See this is the thing. Three posts ago you acted like they were in different area codes as far as players. Now Sandin is only slightly better. Truth is we Won’t know who’s actually better for a long time. They both have bright futures. My point still stands, they have similar value

So if I resume your though, as soon as you wear a maple leafs jersey you go to the HHOF right? Stop overhype your players lol. You say that a projection of 25 points would be awesome for sandin at 20 and that's the reason why he is better than Jokiharju but Joki, at 19, had the same pace....

Jokiharju's value is roughly the same as Sandin's so the best way to judge the trade is replace Joker with sandin and ask yourself if its fair.
