The Flames are in the T. Hall derby, they can't afford King Henrik too.

If that’s all NYR are looking for Strome I would assume there would be a bunch of suitors

Rumor says he wants to do the" JT homecoming" discount.

Are the Rangers going to find someone 34th overall to replace Strome value ? The answer is no so its a bad trade for the Rangers. Rykov is going to go back to the KHL after this year giving him even less value mind ya he wasn't even worth Kamenev from the get go so COL laughs and hangs up. VAN has no need to downgrade for a 4th line winger in Smith cause they sure don't need another Def with Woo, Juolevi in waiting. Andersson has a lot more valve then a very late 2nd round pick from Tampa. Lundqvist for Bennett that might work.

Why would they give up Bennett just to get an overpaid backup? They can just re-sign Talbot, who’s better.

First: lundqvist won’t waive to come to calgary
And if he did:
Second: why would the flames trade Bennett for one season of a 38 year old. Yes Bennett hasn’t lived up to his draft pedigree but he’s still a very serviceable player for the flames

I love these kinds of rumours about Hall they make me laugh! Hall was born in Calgary yes and lived there until he was 13 when his parents moved to Kingston Ontario where they still live in his childhood home! So home for Hall would be IMO one of Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa not Calgary.

I get that but I could;d see Lundqvist playing really well in CGY for a chance at the cup

I would? Calgary is a beauty and CGY is better positioned to compete

There's potential in Lundqvist to lead CGY far. Talbot won't do that for em as good as he's been.

We don't need to pay strome. he is a great player but a product of panarin and has inflated stats. that 2nd is a player who will be $925K for 3 years which is beyond more valuable than a $5M 3C playing well with a superstar. Avs fans proposed the deal and it makes sense for them and him as they might win a cup soon. I agree on the VAN trade, just an idea. Lias Andersson is the biggest scam I've ever seen. Getting a 2nd for that plug would be angelic. Especially getting Lafreniere? I'd waive him.

Kamenev might also go back to the KHL, so there's risk on both sides of that trade. Kamenev isn't waiver exempt anymore which means that he has to be kept up as a 13th forward, whereas Rykov has 1 more year of waiver eligibility which gives Colorado roster flexibility.

He's a New Yorker. Might be his last chance to for Cup run. Now Lundqvist might accept a trade to true contender, but he isn't packing his bags for a middling team.

I feel like hank is the missing piece. Calgary has a dangerous offense and very stable defense. If Lundqvist gets got down the stretch he can lead em.
