Who do you think is better than? I’ve heard ppl say Matthews and some say eichel and I’ve heard some say there equal.

I’d say they’re pretty even. keep in mind we can’t just judge off of this past season especially because of how it ended and it’s only one season. who knows what will happen next season.

Every answer from a Buffalo or Toronto fan should be null and void. Listen to fans who don't have a massive bias.

It's incredibly close, Eichel is one of my top 3 favourite players but if I had to choose one to build my team around I would lean Matthews right now.

Honestly Eichel.. but it’s all about opinions, so nobody’s really wrong no matter what they choose.

Not a fan of either team Mathews is by far better.... Eichel seems largely overrated on this site. Understandable surround a good player with garbage makes them look great.

at this point in their careers they are both so close, but the slight edge has to go to matthews at this point, sure eichel has "no one" on his team, jeff skinner scored 40 goals last year then crapped the bed, evander kane was solid, reinhart was a 2nd overall pick, and theres more, eichel having underperforming teammates shouldnt hurt matthews case in this argument,

but people are biased against matthews and the leafs to start with

It's a far better gauge than Toronto and Buffalo fans puffing out their chests for their franchise player. The argument that's been has a million times on this site and ends exactly the same each time. Fun stuff to watch every time.

Matthews has the better advanced numbers, but when you look at them from a rel standpoint Eichel has the better numbers. It'd be interesting to see what each guy would do if they flipped teams.

Yep, matthews is better. Significantly better goal scorer (the best 5v5 scorer in the game) slightly bettrr play maker who relies Significantly less on 2nd assists and hes much a better defensive player.
