Meier doesnt drop that far and he is far and away better than Strome, Dunn and DeBrusk. Im biased I suppose but Meier is well on his way to being a perennial 65-70 point player.

I think Dunn is too high up, too. Strome and DeBrusk have been putting up good points the last couple seasons(well, except for Strome this season). I think Meier could’ve gone down but he’s had some seasons where he is the best forward on the Sharks

This season he led the team and last season he was right behind Hertl and Karlsson for best Shark of the year. Unlike Debrusk and Strome, Meier has the ability to carry a line whether hes playing with Couture or Hertl. Meier is also a gamer in the playoffs, just ask Vegas lol. All four of “the power play” goals Meier was right in Fleury’s face.

I think Coyotes would have drafted Rantanen or Connor, as they needed goalscoring more than playmaking at the time. Marner was always on the leafs radar cause if u listen to his interview the message was pretty clear I want to be a leaf. So while Connor would have been nice I have a feeling we would still see Marner coming.

And in round 2 toronto would have drafted bear or cernak. As we had no need for another LD at the time.

Have to disagree with you there. Aho has been great, but better than Connor, Chabot, and Marner? No

Aho has easily been better than Chabot and Connor, and it's not close. An elite center is worth more than an elite winger and Aho hasn't had the advantage of playing with John Tavares, so yes I would take Ago over Marner too. Here are all 4 player's career stats relative to the 2015 draft:

3. Marner: 300, 83-208-291
4. Aho: 310, 121-142-263
7. Connor: 249, 105-96-201
16. Chabot: 205, 29-90-119

I would have Barzal above Connor and Chabot, probably Rantanen too.

I would pick Aho 3rd after McDavid and Eichel.
