Same reason Burns won the Norris. Voters don't exactly know everything. If the person who deserved the award always got it, Mark Stone would have literally renamed the Selke by now. so shush your mouth

Ohhhhh got it. You know more than the voters. Weird then considering Staal has been finishing in the 20s in the voting.

Small market teams often have players go underrated, look at Barkov, Chychurn, hjalmerssen is putting up monster defensive numbers and no one's noticed. Carolina is the same. if he was in New York, or Toronto, or Pittsburgh, he'd be top 10 annually. Shame, you use a worse way of justifying your thoughts than those that use +/-

Yes he is. He doesn't get the respect he deserves for it, and if you wanna keep Hornqvist over Staal fine, but boy oh boy, don't question Staal's defence kiddos

Bergeron Couturier O’Reilly Danault Cirelli Kopitar Crosby Toews Zajac Staal yeah he made the Top 10

Barkov? The guy who finished 5th in the voting last year and 4th the year before that? Kind of weird you are bringing up Hjalmarsson and Chychrun since the Selke is only about forwards. And non casual fans know about those defenders, especially Hjalmarsson. Like I said before, just stop. You are very clueless

The whole point of Hornqvist is that he does very little! But sure, you keep playing the one stat that's completely unreliable to aid you're narrative! Ignoring what I've provided! I'm sure everyone will believe you over statistics! Oh wow, why would anyone ever not believe you!

lmao yup hornqvist definitely does very very little. Even though Staals last 2 years where he played 126 games and has 19 goals, whereas Hornqvist last year played 52 games had had 17 goals. But yup, does very little tears of joy And btw, you provided nothing besides comparing staal to aho. Sush your mouth

Omg, you're actually not using a brain, I stg. Staal's Metrics are among the best of any player in the league? You want me to compare Staal and Hornqvist? Will that shut you up?

I used your logic. You said because Hornqvist sits in front of the net, he does very little. And what does ovi do, especially on the powerplay? Yeah pretty dumb comparison because the logic used behind it is asinine lmao tears of joy shush that mouth lmao

You didn't use my logic though. My logic is that Hornqvist sits in one place and takes a goalie's eyes away. An important job, not a difficult one. Ovi rips pucks, past goalies, 50 times a season on average, better than anyone else to ever play the game. YOUR Logic was comparing them, and quite frankly, your arrogance and ignorance have proved you to be nothing more than a comedic bridge dweller.

hmmm I compared them? Explain to me then. Because you said hornqvist does very little because he is known to sit in front of the net. So using your logic, ovi is known to sit in 1 spot, so he does very little as well. Thats your logic, not mine

No, I said Hornqvist is known for sitting in one spot at the edge of the crease that is very little. YOU bought up Oveckin and compared them, and Ovechkin stands in point point, but he also shoots the puck which requires more movement than Hornqvist does in a usual shift tears of joy
