Idea offseason

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This would be one of the deepest teams in the NHL. Four solid lines and defense that has a lot of potential. The only negative is goaltending. Hopefully Hutton eye surgery helps. If not we would need another backup. I believe Ullmark can handle starter duties and but need backup to play 20-30 games.

Montreal doesn't even give you Domi for the 1st, never mind Domi + Mete. Also, Mete and Reinhart are underpaid in the scenario so the cap space isn't actually there for these players.

Mete isn’t going to get more than 2.25M on a bridge deal
MTL might accept because it’s fair value

I would take it in Ottawa and run away and I don’t like this deal as a Buffalo fan. Mittelstadt still has good potential to be a stronger player than Tierney.

And he has good potential to bust, Buffalo should take this and run away if it's available to them.

Yes, but Ottawa is not a contender now, they are building a young team for the future. I wouldn’t make this deal as a Buffalo fan, I’d better trade Montour for Tierney, it would make more sense.

This is such BS argument from Buffalo fans...

Do you now what is the points per game average of a 8OA in their NHL career? Around 0.3. Domi? Nearly 0.7

How many players drafted the same year as Domi have made more point than him? SIX. And they all played 75+games than him, meaning close to a whole season.

A team acquiring Domi is 100% sure to obtain a young restricted top 6 NHL foward. Your 8OA gamble isn't worth near that.
