Trade details: Myers and Virtanen would go to Buf for the 2020 1st. Then Buf would send Myers and the 2022 1st to Toronto for Nylander. Not sure it would even work.

As a Canucks fan we absolutely do not get shafted. I would pay to get rid of Myers and his 6 mil. This is not ideal but this is not bad for us. It is however ATROCIOUS for Toronto.

Np he is someone I think we're hurt by having significantly. Especially next year when we need to resign Quinn and Petey. But he has a NMC so we might be dead. He plays like a guy we'd be happy to pay 3.5 mil and we play him middle pair and just roll with it. But after we resign Quinn and Tanev (hopefully) it's 4 guys we'll be paying top pair money too. We can't live like this.

I think on paper yes this deal looks like garbage for Toronto but the way that I thought it out is that whether it is this coming offseason (whenever it happens) or next offseason the leafs are going to need to make a move due to how tight they are to the cap which will mean either they trade both Hyman and Kapanen Or Nylander and they target a right handed defence man which is there biggest weakness

From a Habs point of view Myers=Alzner
