Let's not get carried away on Matt Roy. He had a solid year, but $3M? Brayden McNabb had two solid years with the Kings back in 2014-16 and signed a 2 year extension for $1.7M AAV.

If Roy has another year similar to this one, I can see him getting a $2M AAV contract.

Too much for Iafallo.

Zero reason for NSH to do that.

Byfield isn't NHL ready, And Krug is staying in Boston no way he waste his time there in LA.

So when you thought to yourself who needs another center in Jeff Carter, Nashville was the team that came to mind first. Lol

There's a 50% chance Krug stays in Boston. He would be signed right now. Remember all the talk about him taking a discount and how he loves Boston? Yeah, those players are signed extremely quick.

The likely hood of him choosing LA is low however not impossible.

I much rather target Sergachev and give up some valuable pieces.

Once again, the know-it-all is wrong.

Too much for Iafallo? That is most definitely debatable.

You're right about Carter though.

Holland has already traded away his next two second round picks, I don't think he's moving next year's 1st as well. Iafallo is a solid player, but he may not fit into Edmonton's plans. $4.5M x 5 with no cap increase for at least two seasons probably spells the end of Nuge, Larsson, or Nurse, and I don't think that trade-off makes a lot of sense at the moment.

It doesn't really matter what team it is, if you are saying Iafallo isnt worth 1 first round pick then you are mistake. Especially a playoff team that will probably have a late 1st.

I have no argument with your assessed value of Iafallo. I believe the proposed deal is too expensive for Edmonton at the moment, and perhaps some other GM will happily agree to those terms.
