Brady got 45 points his rookie year marner got 61 points playing on the 3rd line with bozak and jvr hush hush

You see this is your problem, you can only count points. Are you aware that Brady had an 8.1 shooting percent this year, and was 8th in total shots? If he had a more average S% like say Matthews 16.2, Brady had 42 goals this year

Bozak and JVR are good players what. JVR had 36 goals that year. And Bozak was and is a much better offensive player than Tierney or Pageau

Wonder why jvr had 36 points marner was a god at passing you could put John Scott on marners wing and he will have a career year loool give ur heads a shake

So your saying a player with no finish is better that’s like saying ya if every shot that’ ceci put on a empty net he’d have 100 goals like what he takes a lot of garbage shots At net and never scores and his team sucks like what

Not carrying him, they need each other. He’s not Mark Stone yet but he’s on that trajectory

Umm what Mark Stone 50-60 pt guy? Ummm what are u even talking about. The dude is a PPG and the best defensive winger in the game and is always leading the league in takeaways. Plus he carries an entire line by himself. Stone is much better than Marner, ask literally anybody

I wouldn't trade Tkachuk for Marner, though it's very hard to argue at this stage of his career that he is "better". They Generate offense at similar levels, though Marner does it with an elite cast of offensive talent, and Brady is basically on an island, with virtually no help. For context, the worst C Marner ever had, Tyler Bozak in 2017, would have easily been the most offensively productive C Brady has ever played with at even strength.

The impact Brady has on his team's offensive production is also far more pronounced, because offense basically dries up entirely when he isn't out there. That said, Brady can't really compete with Marner's point totals, though I'm firmly in the goals mean more than assists camp.

Brady is one of the best in the league at generating not only shot volume, but also high danger chances. I don't think it's unfair to look at that, and expect him to score at a higher clip than the 25 goal pace he's been at for the first two years of his career. If he can give 30-35 goals and around 70 points, I don't think it's unfair to suggest that his skillset makes him more valuable than Marner is as a 20 goal, 90ish point guy.

Also worth considering that Brady is eligible to sign a new contract, and with him only being a 25/50 guy to this point, that contract is almost certainly coming in at significantly lower cost than Marner's.

I think Marner is the better player, but I don't think the gap is as significant as it seems based on point totals, and I think Brady will eventually be the better player. I don't think either team makes that trade.

Mark Stone is widely regarded as the the best or 2nd best RW in the league.

I’d honestly throw Brady in the nylander comparable he’s not as elite as marner

Not offensively like he’s a forward not a defence lmao I’d rather have more offensive players playing forward because there forwards not d stones maybe a top 10 winger maybe very debatable

I think once he is 22-23, you'll feel differently. I think he's a player who is just as capable of taking over a game as Marner, though he does it in a different way.

"Me 16 me smort" Do you also think Kane is currently better than Kucherov? Kucherov has zero cups, is he currently better than Pastrnak? Pastrnak has oh look zero cups. Kinda odd how this has nothing to do with Kane too, how many cups does Marner have? oh wait none right? Nice argument

Take a look at the number of shots Brady puts up, he is elite at shooting volume. Combine that with how he lead the league in high danger shooting opportunities.

Those are two of the metrics that are some of the best indicators of offensive potential, its what you look for in players who are about to have a breakout offensive season.

Now if you consider that he is 20, and he was playing on a ****ty ****ty team where his best offensive linemate was Pageau, I think Brady has a lot of potential.

Im not saying hes gonna be worth more than Marner, or that he will be better than Marner, but Brady is criminally underrated. People think that he is only a little ****, when in reality he is a little **** who could be a 40 goal/40 assist guy with huge physical impact on the game, and thats a valuable piece.
