i think if this was the case Gambrell, Blichfeld or Gregor would be given more ice time to boost they're potential.

Except none of them have established themselves as solid NHLers no far and Gregor hasn't shown 3rd line upside... yet, I think that'll come

This seems good for Calgary and bad for San Jose.

I must be living in some kind of bizarro world if people actually think this is good for Calgary.

Ikr, I'm very confused here, Gaudreau is most certainly the better player without question

Ya let’s trade our perennial 75+ pt a year all star For a perennial 40 pt player who can’t anchor a line......que the “ya well Gaudreau only has 2 years left and will 100% leave for Philly so his value today is really no better then a 6th so flames should be lucky we are offering this”

Funny part is Hertl also only has 2 years left

Hertl is a 65-80 point player without injuries and contrary to what you say, he can anchor a line alright.

I can understand not liking this trade because the value is off but Hertl’s worth way more than you’re making him out to be.

Lol no, Hertl is BY FAR a better play driver than Johhny and actually shows up in playoffs

Well gaudreau is more skilled He is a small guy but still I’m interested , but we all know C are always more valuable than wingers and janakowski had a brutal year I don’t know this is close. I’m torn

Jankowski having a brutal year doesn't make him worth a 7th lol. You can be torn all you want, Calgary doesn't consider this and I'm a big fan of Hertl

Both you guys are heavily favoring your hometown player, truth is both players had monster years last years and down years this year both players are young and have tons of talent and both bring skill, Jonny hockey is the better player in this trade but not by much but this trade hurts both teams more than it helps them both sides should be intrigued but walk away from the table! That’s my opinion

I agree and I’d consider Jankowski for like gambrell or sorenson or a 4/5 th
Gaudreau to me is a high first an A level prospect and an nhl ready player with top 4/ top 6 potential
Funny thing is I see the same value for Hertl, which Should make comparing them easy but it’s not. I do feel Jonny is the better guy but Hertl is close.
