Don't like either of those ideas in the title. Nor the trade. Nor the UFA targets. I feel like you're capable of better. I hope you're capable of better.

Deangelo on the 3rd pair? Smith in the top 4? Staal in the lineup? Lemieux playing above Gauthier? Giving a guy who struggled to perform above replacement level for 10 mins a game on a stacked Toronto team a 3C role?

You got to be better than this.

Commenting just to say that Spezza will not be leaving Toronto. He has publicly stated he wants to stay and that money doesn't matter to him.

Buy Lundqvist out, or hope he retires and does what Luongo did.

I’m not sure he would accept a trade anywhere. If he did the value is limited as he’s the worlds most expensive backup

Tell me who you prefer for a one year to plug holes. And thats probably what those guys are going to fetch on the trade market.
And why not bridge a guy who we've only seen one truly productive year out of?
and if its a squeezed season why not carry more than 2 goalies. It worked at the end of this season, and I know for a fact you're shooting down any reasonable Georgiev trade...
Not to mention, Staal in the lineup, Smith in the top 4, Lemieux playing above Gauthier, and Tony on the third pair, ALL are things we are accustomed to seeing as Ranger fans. I hope you aren't surprised when most of these remain the same next season. Have you been paying attention during the season, did you watch the games where all of those things were reality?

I forget who said it, but you continue to be the most narrow minded fan on this site.

Even if its a generous paying one like this one? McAvoy and Werenski all did it...And Tony isn't even their tier yet
