This is not at all a prediction. Just what I would do if GM.

It’s not fancy. But this would be the quickest way to returning to championship form.

19 picks in the next two years. Keeping a core of Ek65, Ek9, Captain Cooch and timo time. If Peices like mittelstat and Delly and develop alone with the picks this could be turned around fast. And especially with some really deep free agency class next summer to supplement the picks and prospects. Things would be looking for a quick turnaround.

Reasons for this.

Flat Cap. With a flat cap our options are not super awesome. Hertl can get you a great return. Pickles. Just to get a lot of cap hit away. Still returning 2 mil will hurt but. By 2021-22 the cap should be going up or a year out. Don’t really get much back for him. Alzner would maybe make the team but a fine 7th d.

Burns. A more quanity deal. Delly and late 1st are nice. We are getting the rest of the players simply as placeholders until the deadline or the end of the year.

Like I said. Not fancy. Looking at a quick rebuild.
