@mhockey91 you need to understand that Danault is a SOLID 2C. Stop saying 3C or comparing him to Backlund. Don’t say he’s playing 1C in MTL because they don’t have anyone else. False, he has GREAT chemistry with Tatar and Gallagher, they are one of the best line at 5v5 in the league and shutting down opposing team first line. He’ll never do 70 points, but staying in the 50 points is damn good + he’s not playing on the PP ( rarely ).

He is a solid 2C yes, which makes him a great 3C. That’s not a knock on him. It’s just stating facts. He’s solid in the 2C role, great in the 3C role, and he shouldn’t be a 1C but as you said he has chemistry with Tatar and Gallagher.

You shouldnt have wasted your time with this, hes using biased advanced stats to make it favor his player choices, Gaudreau has been a career 15+ GAR and had the worst year of hia career this year Bjorkstrand is the exact opposite.

Am I missing something? Where tf are the upgrades?

Danault is a 50 point 2-way 2C, thats like saying Backlund is better than Monahan which is obviously wrong or Backlund would be Calgary's 1C

Yeah lmfao i know. I wasted my time on this argument.

I opened this up and saw a comment saying CBJ runs. I sure the **** hope that poster meant they take it and run...I'm too scared to ask.

Like WTF is wrong with people on here? When I enter the CF website do I unknowingly enter another dimension where Johnny Gaudreau is a piece of trash hockey player or something?

I’ll do Valimaki vs Danault straight up lol but we can’t compare Valimaki and Romanov, not yet

You would, but Flames wouldnt. Danault is a 2C rental, Valimaki is Gio's successors and Flames are very high on him. He wasnt moved for Stone he definitely wont be moved for Danault

More ok 1C and great 2C Sticking Out Tongue, he’s not good enough offensively to be a 1B so he’s a 2A

On any cup winner in the last decade+ he’s not a 1C. He’s not even a 2C on most of the teams. If you can’t win a cup with Danault at 1C, he shouldn’t be there

Perfect spot is 2C, but Danault is 2C in half the NHL teams

That’s why I could see a team like Winnipeg be interested in him. He’d fit like a glove behind Scheifle

So basically we’re trading Labanc for an overpaid, dirty bust who’s no more than a mediocre 3rd liner, 2 garbage prospects, and a nothing draft pick.

Yeah that’s gonna be a no from San Jose all day long.
