What is wrong with Hainsey? He is steady, cheap, eats minutes and kills penalties, which is all you need/want from a third pairing D-man. He was plus 12 on a team with a -50 goal differential last year and that is with a majority of defensive zone starts. Riikola is good in a sheltered role (which he would have) with good advanced stats and the top four would eat most of the minutes anyway.

what he said lol. Riikola isn't bad at all and Hainsey is as steady as they come..
