The Stars deal is a bit lopsided. You wont get Hintz in that deal. Theyve already got two great offensive dmen so I dont see them going for ADA.

We need a Shesterkin level goalie, not a Georgiev, we have plenty of Georgievs already. And we'll take Lias Andersson...but it's going to have to be for a very low round pick. Otherwise I'm sorry but Minnesota very much declines this.

I don’t think Georgie is gonna get you a first. Slapping a struggling prospect to him doesn’t get you there either. GMs don’t like giving up first round picks for good reason. Adding to a guy worth a second rounder doesn’t typically work. I’d be hesitant to give up Lindell and Hintz for two guys that could very easily not be able to do what they did this past year. And they’re about to get paid for what they did this past year which makes it even more sketchy

Tony DeAngelo is the real deal and can build upon this year. Strome, on the other hand, is not and is a byproduct of Artemiy Panarin.

Agree about Georgiev. Maybe after another successful season a few teams might be willing to dish out a late first but as for now, Wouldnt give more than a 2nd in next years draft as this draft is just too deep to miss.

Lots of trading Smith to Ottawa lately, but there's not much and never has been any logic to it. If it's because of his contract, Ottawa is asking a heck of a lot more than the trash that is a 4th and a 6th. Nobody's taking on a bottom tier player paid like he's worth something for absolutely no beneficial pieces coming back. If it's because there's this idea that Sens need D, it's just not true. The Sens need good D, not overpaid guys that don't beat out the 11 guys they have vying for spots next year (Chabot, Zub, Zaitsev, Jaros, Wolanin, Reilly, Borowiecki, Brannstrom, Alsing, Lajoie and Thomson). So what's Ottawa getting out of this? Nada.

shesterkin is the next king you would be giving up fiala and dumba to start the trade. Georgiev looks like a backstrom from the minnesota old days a solid starter goalie and could be much more with a good d core in front of him.

We already have a few guys we believe to be as good as Backstrom (if not better) in the future. So why would we waste a 1st on another one? Rather draft a center or a LD prospect with that pick than trade it.

And I know Shesterkin would cost a lot. In fact, I would say he's probably off limits, regardless of trade. I wasn't asking the Threadstarter to add him to a trade, I was merely pointing out what us Wild are looking for if we wanted to trade for a goalie.

georgiev right now is your best bet for the future. The wild's goalie pool for prospect is very lackluster and there is no notable prospect there. Geogiev is 23 already a starter and there is a much higher upside than that. There is a reason teams have been asking about him constantly and trying to get him but nyr wont move him unless they pay his value a top 6 forward.
