I have infinitely more faith in Mittlestadt. It sucks for Patrick, and as I said the last time this was posted, I wish him the best for his career. But that is way too risky, especially for Buffalo

Really? Don't ever see Mittelstadt becoming a 2C, feel like Patrick has a way higher chance of panning out as a center.

The slight risk is worth it Miller doesn't fit well in our system i believe ghost could fill out 2LD spot effectively! Patrick and Casey both struggle but I think Patrick can turn it around if he can return and stay healthy

If he can play, thats what I'd be way more concerned about. He obviously has a ton of skill, but thats not going to help much if he misses a bunch of time then retires early.

Reports have been fairly positive, taking a season off seems to have fixed things

Miller played well with Dahlin. He fit in just fine when they werent trying to sell Bogosian. Miller is completely fine in the Buffalo system and will be a great partner for Dahlin. Ghost has way more questions than Miller

Ive had severe concussions, you dont fix them. He takes a nasty hit he could be done for good in a second.

This would need a conditional pick attached like a 2022 2nd based upon the number of games/points for Patrick. If he meets the thresholds Pens keep the pick. If not pick goes to Sabres.

The Flyers & Patrick have been adamant that it's a migraine disorder and that it's not concussion related. Apparently the migraine disorder is hereditary and other people in his family have it too. If they can find the right medication to stop the migraines, not only should he be fine, but it could actually help him deal with potential concussions in the future.

i think mittelstadt needs to be a winger. his best asset is his creativity around the net when he is playing with elite players. that's why he was so great at WJC. i think he needs to be given a shot to play with some combination of eichel/reinhart/olofsson/skinner/kahun. i know it will be easy to say then he's doing well because he is playing with talent but he will elevate a line into elite status.
