Hank does have an NMC so he does hold a bit of power on what happens to him. Buyout looks like 5.5M next season and 1.5 the following. You do that OS and the following year I bet some people are looking hard at your roster.

I know what the buyout is that’s why I added it but do you think if a team like col was to have any interest in him at 50% retained they would trade for him?

Only way I see him waiving is for a legit shot at a cup so I think he’d waive for Colorado. The real question is why would Colorado want him? They have a good tandem that is significantly cheaper.

I see it as they have Grubauer to be their starter yet he’s been injured the past two seasons while he’s been there. And francouz has passed him so if you bring hank in to split with francouz and with an actual defense in front hank he would play better than he did with the rangers last year

I'd guess it depends on how much the Rangers add to the trade. He'd still be the 3rd goalie on their roster.

If Hank waives NMC, it's probably to a team that a) is a playoff team and b) one he has friends on.

Minnesota and Carolina make sense. Rangers won't add anything to get him off the team but they'd retain cap. Look for deals for guys like Hartman or Martinook, someone like that.
