Throw in Johnson and the PIT trade is fair

Also Allen doesn't have negative value, replace him with Steen and it's better

Im not sure bernier hirose and a 4th gets either Murray or the 1st never mind both. Allen's overpaid and they might give him away but not pay a 1st for it. I like serg but 8+ million is alot.

Steen is the only Blue that would cost something substantial to move

I think you're right about Murray. Last week there was a trade that had JJ and Murray for Detroit's 3rd and Hirose or Hicketts I thought it was a good deal but enough Pittsburgh fans disagreed.

I wouldn't mind that, but I love Hirose

Trades are smart & desire for 2022 unprotected picks r the goal... Nmestnikov. ..no ...& sergechev too much offer sheet..shoukd be closer to 6-7m to get more value & still force tbl to make 2 trades off cap to keep him at that range..otherwise ...intelligent attempts at the ebd goal (Shane Wright)

Murray, 1st for Bernier, Hirose, 4th

Pens pass without hesitation. Murray's value is in the RFA compensation range of "1st, 3rd" Although Detroit's 1st is obviously above that.

Bernier is basically a cap dump, although not much cap. Hirose ... pass. 7 points in 26 games, and 5 of those were on the spoon fed PP time that he got, no defense, no physicality. All of the potential in the world is meaningless if you can't put the rubber on the road. If you need to include Bernier for cap reasons that is fine, but he is a wash in himself, at best, He certainly does not add to what Detroit gets back. You need to look at a much better prospect plus going to Pittsburgh for just Murray. Forget the 1st.

Last week I had a discussion in a Detroit AGM that suggested Murray for Svechnikov, 2nd. Much like Hirose, Svechnikov isn't enough. I countered with flipping in Zadina, Veleno, or Rasmussen but was told that Zadina is not on the table. So, maybe something more of Veleno/Rasmussen, 2nd, Bernier for Murray, 5th.

Murray, 1st for stuff is not ... just no.

Pretty sure you are talking about this one. I wouldn’t touch that trade as now is the time for Yzerman to capitalize on cap dump deals or dip into FA for a goalie to split with Bernier.

Someone 100% would offer at least a 4th for Allen.

Goalies scare the hell out of people is tge thing. A bad season and everyone gets afraid. Its why no ine wants to touch holtby and Murray is close to that feeling.
