I'd actually move Gourde at C and Gaudette at LW

Gourde could be the responsible guy between two very offensive mended ones, Gaudette and Virtanen... speaking of whom, they'll get more $$

helping tampa u guys need to help yourselves u got some big contracts coming up

for one tampa wont move foote. He will come way cheaper than stetcher and has a higher ceiling than him. Tampa can just move Johnsson as teams will be in need of a 2c/3c.

Nj rejects that trade as this is a deep draft and they have no need for boeser. Sure he could help but both those 1sts and foote also can

I think the Canucks would want New Jersey's own 1st round pick (7th overall pick) if they were to trade Boeser. (Boeser for Foote and 7OA - then again it's unlikely to happen) Arizona's pick isn't guarantee in the top 15 but we'll see about it on August

This does help a ton Actually. Will have more than enough to sign Petey and Hughes to large deals in 2021.

u realize though both teams reject right. Foote has massive potential to become a top 4 and Stetcher is an okay defenseman. Tampa has no need for stetcher. And sure they need to move gourde but they can just move Killorn or Johnsson who other teams can use and wont cost a top prospect to get rid of.

Also NJ loosing that much for 1 guy is a hard pass. This is gonna be a deep draft and even late 1sts can draft higher ceiling players than Boeser.
zyyyp liked this.

Johnson has a NTC as well and I think Gourde is a better sell than him to get someone off the books so they can get Cirelli signed. As far as the Boeser trade the pick would be swapped if the Canucks miss the playoffs anyways so it would just be the Canucks 2021 first going back so instead of that They just traded it back to us in the deal.

man I really don't know how I feel about this from NJ's perspective. getting a first line scoring RW (biggest team need) without giving up a roster player is huge but there is the injury concerns and they could very well get a player better than him with one of those picks if they draft right.

yeah NJ isn't moving their highest 1st, especially not for Boeser.

It's only one pick they are giving up in this round. The canucks miss the playoffs the 1st rounder canucks pick is next year. so 3 years away or more for that pick to pan out?

If management asked him to waive it I see no reason why he would reject. Just because someone has a NTC does not mean they cant be traded.

As for NJ they have no need to do it. This is a deep draft and Foote has enormous potential to surpass Boeser, and with this deep draft NJ would rather keep the picks.

okay well that's confusing, you should've sent VAN 2021 1st to NJ in that case lol. If it was just Foote + AZ 1st New Jersey accepts. and yeah the Devils won't be competitive for 3 years anyway, they can afford to wait on their picks.
