That's way too much for a 900sv% goalie, and one Ottawa doesn't need.

What do you expect him to cost? A 2nd round pick and taking on a cap dump isn't exactly a crazy price.

That remains to be seen, but if Nilly is healthy, Nilsson/Hogberg is a good tandem for the short term.

If Nilsson is done, I still don't think Murray is a good fit. Sens have options for goalies that wouldn't cost this much, and aren't coming off such a bad season. Jake Allen would be a smart pick up, and could be had for cheap given the Blues cap crunch. There are also rumors that Lehner might be open to coming back to Ottawa, though I'm not sure that makes much sense for either side.

I really don't think Matt Murray will get that kind of return either. I think teams are learning not to give goalies the benefit of the doubt, and Murray is coming off a brutal season.

You could play goal for them and they wouldn't actually be worse off. 2nd most goals against behind only the embarrassment that was the Red Wings. ... but they are fine at goal.

That's more a result of abysmal Defense than an actual reflection of their goaltending, though Craig Anderson was undoubtedly terrible. Nilsson was just under league average, and Hogberg was actually very good, before the last game of the season which really ruined his stats. I don't think you could have asked more from any goalie with a Defense that included guys like Mike Reilly, Ron Hainsey, Nikita Zaitsev, Andreas Englund and Cody Goloubef.
