What is that Ottawa trade? If I’m Ottawa, I’ll trade pieces for a guy like Morgan Frost or Philippe Myers but not Voracek

I think he's still a good player, but that contract is tough, and he's 31. There's no way that's a fit.

Kings say no to that trade. They only have two seasons left on Carter's deal, and if he's terrible again this season, they can buy him out of the last year. They're not going to take JVR's increased cap hit and extra year. If Philadelphia wants to retain $1.75M to make the cap hit a wash, then maybe they'd consider it, but as-is it's a no go.

Take away Mitts and add a 2nd from Philly.

Montour is a top 4 RHD who is established. Frost is a guy everyone hopes might be good. Philly is the one adding here.

Agreed Frost has proved nothing more than Mitts has to this point. We could maybe have a discussion about those two 1 for 1 if Frost needs a fresh start also but not giving up Montour for this player
