I thought about unloading the Eriksson contract and something else...RD top 4 + 2020 2nd rnd pick. OR Taking Eriksson, and Myers. But we would need to figure out our RD situation.
Then we could resign Marky, Tofolli, Tanev, Stetcher, Virtanen, Leivo and Gaudette without blinking an eye plus have room for Pet and Hughes.

I’d like 3oa if Sens want Laffy & take Eriksson.
Hopefully can take Stutzle but Byfield is OKish or trade 3oa & move down & get a sweetener & go for Drysdale. Other option is take Laffy & see where Drysdale goes & swing a deal. At worst I also can handle it if stuck with Laffy 😂

Van should just unload any contract that is holding them back; Eriksson, Baertschi, Sutter, maybe even a rousel or beagle but arguments could be made for keeping either/both clear up 15+ mil of cap space to re-sign everyone and have money for pettersson and hughes. and depending on the interest maybe even get back a late or future 1st round pick

on the flip side though could you imagine if they did trade away the 1OA and Lafreniere turned in to a stud... it would be like EDM trading the McDavid pick and year after year have to see him put up big numbers and potentially kick you out of the playoffs... all in all i don't think trading away a pick for a player like this will every pan out in the long run... unless he busts
