Lol this guy just hates the bruins they are contenders

He is missing Krug (who even at 7.5 Mil leaves 9.5 mil to sign a 2nd line RW)

With Krug, they have the same top 5 in the league defense that they have now (but better and more experienced)
with a 2nd line RW, they have a better top 6 than rn (with a sick 2nd line)
and a better bottom 6 than rn (because its the same guys, but more experienced and in their primes)
The only concern would be Tuukka and the backup (but thats not a huge concern because Swayman and Vladar are solid goalie prospects (dont wanna overrate them, but hobey baker and Vladars stats)

So basically take this team, add Krug, add a 2nd line RW and you still have 3 mil

I think they re-sign Krug too, I know Bruins fans love Stud but we'll see how he is as a 2C over an 82 game season. Easy to say "just add a RW", you'd have to make a trade since the FA landscape is pretty limited the 2021 off-season but they could definitely add someone pretty good. We'll also see if Berg keeps up his current level of play in another 2 seasons, the drop off is usually drastic once guys hit a certain age, look at Thornton for example. The bottom six will probably look better than thia though

You are so dumb. Bro not even the Bcarlo kid thought me and bhav were the same and hes neurotic

Maybe because you guys act like the same incompetent person?

I already know McGruff isn't you, he has a style of his own.

@Bcarlo25 and I disagree on a lot of things, but he isn't a moron like you and your split personalities. The dumbest boston fan is Gofnut999 so luckily you're not quite there.

Bergeron is gonna be 35 next year.
They are already hiding him in the offensive zone most of the game to save his legs and hide how much he's slowed.

This team only goes as far as he can take it. While his game, as far as being a faceoff guy who keeps possession of the puck, helps with him slowing down. The truth of the matter is more and more teams are going to make him skate and expose him. Much like they do Chara now who looks washed as teams blow by him on dump ins knowing he's to slow to do anything about it anymore.

I gave him 2 years, 2 seasons ago. Next year I think is the beginning of the end. The wheels are gonna start to come off. The problem with him is you can't play him down a roster like a 3rd pairing defense man.. You can't hide him in the Dzone. You have to be able to skate there and get up ice. Clearly they realize that's an issue which is why get gets 60+% of his starts in the Ozone.
He was a defensive player. Not no more. And that's a telling sign about his foot speed.
Great player though, just aging out.

I think @Bf3351 made a good point about the decline in Bergeron and Marchand though. If they are still producing at their current level then yes they can contend, but if their production drops which is entirely possible, they won’t contend. Bergeron and Marchand have both played a lot of heavy minutes.

they have and could certainly hit a wall/ fall off, but they are showing 0 signs of it. Bergy probably has another 3 years of being a top 6 forward, then being a great 3rd line defensive center. Marchand is a top 5 winger in the league and hes only improved over the past few years. he doesnt play a type of game where he'll fall off unexpectedly, hes so good at avoiding contact and keeping the puck.

The bruins window is closing, no question of that. but to say this team still isnt a cup contender in 2 years would be idiotic. they do a very good job at internally managing cap and while it they groom their prospects a bit longer than most teams, they know how to grow studs. pun not intended but it works.

Assuming Marchand, Bergeron, and Rask are still good and healthy enough.

as long as Bergeron is good yes, Stud is... well... a stud, but I doubt he'll be a 1C, but aside from that they really don't have any holes, Rask maybe, but even if he regresses, he'll still probably be a good tandem with Halak/a FA goalie, they have their number 1 d man in McAvoy, a few solid guys in Gryz Carlo and Vaak, pasta is still young, if Marchand regresses, Debrusk or Kase could fill in, obv this team isn't as good as it is rn, but they should easily make the playoffs at least, and from there any goalie can get hot and carry a team

So yeah @F50marco im now being called the same person as @bhavikp27 as well. IDK if you can handle this and suspend or ban the guy who made this post. But these accusations are just getting out of hand.

I mean i have only ever seen bf3351 liking and agreeing with bcarlo25 but i havent accused them of anything yet.

Maybe a warning (which i got for calling someone a moron for calling me someones backup account) so i know you guys give them out?

Idk dude, i hate to be annoying, but its people like that that are the reason this website needs more moderation i guess.

cool cool i can get in on this one... Losing chara's leadership and grit will be tough. hes a huge body that can block alot of shots and traffic. but hes soooo slow now. Mcavoy having a relatively fast partner on defense would change his game so much. right now he has to be super conservative to make sure if chara pinches he can beat anyone back since chara isnt winning any foot races. We are looking 2 years down the road here... how do you know studnicka isnt some superstar that takes over 1c then bergeron takes 2c... how do you frederic or beecher doesnt develop into a dominant center. Maybe in 2 years they dont have to rely so much on bergeron? Rask might retire, latest reports indicate otherwise but hey anything is possible. Swayman is no slouch in the bruins prospect system. I expect we will see him pretty soon. The defense is still pretty good. Urho has 30 point potential grz has 30 point potential. Maybe they try and transfer some of krugs offensive responsibilities over to mcavoy who has the capability of putting up solid numbers on offense.

You are essentially just smack talking an organization 2 years down the road when literally nobody knows how anything happens over the course of the next 2 years. we have no idea who gets hurt, who stays, who gets traded. Like I could do this exact post with every single team in the league. You're a kings fan right? you have all these young prospects with a great pool etc. what happens when some of them dont pan out like expected? they look like cant miss players but that doesnt mean they are. Who you got in goal? Quick has already lost his step and you have nobody really to replace him. Cal Petersen while good in college had a bad year in the ahl tell me he's your savior? or youll get one in FA right? hows that working out for Florida with Bob. Theres way too much uncertainty from right now and literally 2 seasons from now. You wanna try and predict next year. go for it. 2 years out is WAY too far out with way too many variables.

I mean obviously, but if you take away 2/3 of any teams top line I doubt any of them remain contenders

This is much more of a concern when 2/3 of the 1st line are in their mid-30's though. Especially when we're talking about (essentially) a 1-line team.

Not sure if ive mentioned this previously, but you know you can block people right? Actually im pretty sure i have.

This resolves all your problems.

As for more moderation, i agree, ive already mentioned it to the admins. With that said, more moderators will not change the fact that if you dont like some posters, you can literally make it so you dont have to see anything from them anymore...... If you continue to go on without doing so, its on you. No one is breaking any rules by thinking you are a duplicate account.

So once again, block the user and move on. Problem solved.

Bergeron will turn 35 in 2 weeks. Since this is a 2021-22 roster and those playoffs will happen about 2 years from now, Bergeron will be nearing 37. Father Time waits for no-one.

Only 1 forward not on the 1st line managed more than 40 points this season: Krejci with 43.

It's a 1-line team offensively.
