I don't like this deal for the Sabres Frost has proven nothing more than Mitts at this point and we need to get something in return for Risto that will likely impact our roster this year

The thing is, is that Frost isn't a top 10 pick who flamed out in first year in the NHL while Frost himself even has a higher NHL ppg even if small, although I do agree he hasn't definitively proven anything as well. I just don't think Montour and especially TT are all that good.

I mean there PP 82 aren't even worth mentioning as being different 28 per 82 vs 28.7 per 82. Mitts didn't flame out he was forced into a role he wasn't ready for and playing with other players that were playing out of position. Sobotka is not a 2nd line winger nor is Evan Rodriguez. The past GM did such a poor job insulating him and providing center depth he was forced to leave him in the lineup all year even though it was clear he wasn't ready because there was literally noone else. It is certainly disappointing that he didn't come in and set the league on fire right away, but there is still game there. He may ultimately be best suited at wing in the nhl but I am not ready to trade him and another asset for a similar prospect.

Ya I agree you can't write him off quite yet, but he probably should show some kind improvement over the next two year period or so.

Off course if he doesn't over that time frame then any hope for an NHL regular is lost
