Seems like a 1 for 1 to me. Leafs fans value there players 10x more than everyone else around the league.
Yeah 1 for 1 would be better but idk if Nylander Has the value to pull a top pairing RHD. Nylander for some odd reason has excellent value on this site without really doing anything impressive. I think dumba could get a bigger return imo.

He was on pace for 72 points and he's 24 years old. How is that not impressive.
Nylander is clearly the best winger for Matthews and can also play centre. Therefore, I would would just not do that trade. Marner for Dumba/Brodin (better player than Dumba, but less years on contract) and picks would be more attractive to me.
And Dumba is 24 or 25 and has 2 50 point seasons as a RD...
And he had a major injury and was absolute ass upon return. Dumba is at a lowpoint in value; if he were to be traded for Nylander right now I wouldn't accept anything less than this.
Also, he's had one 50 point season and just about to turn 26. Not that his previous totals weren't impressive, just clearing up the age/point things.

nah, you see Dumba has all this potential and stuff and "just had a bad season" and is going to be amazing etc etc etc so his value is still really high. Nylander is just a Leafs player, so his value isnt high at all.

Stop trolling. Leafs fans overvalue there own players no more than anyone else. This trade is basically fair. Toronto adds Dermott, and it is fair. Make it Pittsburgh’s first maybe too.

I think Minnesota needs to add in a Dumba for Nylander swap, but a 1st is too much.
The wild would be foolish to trade dumba at a time when his value isn’t peak. A players value doesn’t rise and lower as dramatically and quickly as most people on cap friendly believe. Players are judged on skill and potential not just results. But dumba is certainly not at his highest value. And may not be a great fit. I believe he could be a great partner for muzzin though and then put Rielly with holl.
My idea would be nylander for dumba and a young forward maybe with the value of a 2nd or 3rd. But I do not want nylander traded at all.

I agree with the assessment on Dumba. Hope he can still bounce back but it's very alarming to see him play 3rd pairing minutes because he's being outplayed by Soucy (also Soucy/Brodin chemistry was unreal).
However, we really need that draft pick and even though we do need more right handed shots...we don't for this price. If it was a right handed shot center, then we are willing to talk business but for wingers we'll pass...for now at least.

Nylander does play centre, and does it well. He jumps in as top 6 centre when ever a centre goes down. His extremely good play was why Toronto did so well when Matthews went down last season.

Yeah, I'm not saying Minnesota should or would do this, I'm just saying that I wouldn't accept less if I were the Leafs due to the concerns about his poor play following a major injury.
Also, Nylander can play C. Again, not saying that this means Minny should do this, just that he is capable.

I wouldn't do the trade if it was Pittsburgh's 1st.

So why wouldn't they wait another season and save a 1st round pick?
Nothing about this trade makes sense.

They should and I'd imagine they will. Never said otherwise.
The only risk they take with that is that if Dumba doesn't rebound, it confirms concerns about his injury having lasting effects and would lower his value further. I'd still take that chance though.
him and marner elite, worst accounts on the site by a million
Lol, you're listening to a guy that doesn't know anything about hockey lol. I'm only hated by Leafs fans and Bruins fans along with one Red Wing fan because I love showing them how dumb they are. Ask around, I'm a swell credible guy
