Nah, Svech (Evgeni) isn't that good, and is probably going back to Europe... sad, I liked him, injuries really ruined his career

You will not get Stutzle at 4th.
Other than that, the WIngs should really use that cap space and take on bad contracts for good returns as you did here.
Give Stevie Y a couple of years and this team will be back on track.

Svech could still be a solid middle six winger, if he can stay healthy. Don't buy into the "going back to Europe" rumors.

Every year a player unexpectedly drops in the draft. No one expected Zadina to drop out of the top three two years ago. He dropped all the way to six. Stutzle likely goes top three, but it's definitely not impossible for a scenario to unfold where Drysdale goes top three.

Its probably not a good idea to give Tampa a lottery pick

No, he looks like the favourite at 2 now. About a 1% chance he drops to 4.

Next year's draft is expected to be quite weak, relatively speaking, and Sergachev is the type of player you hope for with a lottery pick.

Zadina wasn’t supposed to either, you never know. Although that kind of bit us sense we could have had hughes

If he was going back to Europe, he would have signed a contract by now, and he wouldn't be fishing with his brother off the coast of Carolina, he'd be preparing for an early September season start.

One can never be truly certain how the future is going to play out, and so it's very possible that circumstances may dictate Steen would be useful. But given our depth in the bottom-6 in general and at RW in particular at all levels of the organization, and also given our relative lack of picks for the next two years, I think it's fairly safe to say that trading anything at all for a will-then-be-37-years-old bottom-6 depth rental right winger is decidedly not something the Jackets are likely to do.

If you can get that from some other team, tho, feel free.

Yeah, no from Carolina. Svech is at best a replacement guy now (Evgeni that is). Bokk has top 6 upside. This is an easy pass. Bokk is also a natural scorer, which is something Carolina lacks

Most teams seem to lean towards Stutzle at 2 but I would bet a few bucks the KIngs will go for a C, they have enough wingers in the pipeline. So Byfield at 2, and then yeah, I guess Ottawa is always full of surpises so maybe they go for Drysdale

Doubt Ottawa gets Drysdale at 3. I think they get him at 5.
