There really is no good trade for Eichel from a Buffalo perspective but diving into this further, even with how good Gibson is, wouldn't we all agree that center is more important than goaltending anyway? Why would Buffalo feel they can finally get over the hump with Gibson that they couldn't with Eichel?

If we really really need to make an Eichel trade to work, the only real trade that "works" is a disturbingly large futures package that includes some can't miss prospects. One teams gets 1 superstar now, the other team gets multiple probably not Eichel level good prospects but so many that they easily overcompensate with quantity. That isn't what Buffalo would want of course. They want Eichel so that's the first choise but if they HAD to do something, that would probably be the only option someone would reasonably offer that makes somewhat sense.
