Yeh i think Markstrom turns that contract down pretty quick. Same for Toffoli and Olofsson.

Not many players sign a bridge deal until they're 27;yrs old. Now is the time to be demanding a bigger contract. Id expect a contract similar to Donskoi.

The man who shut down the talks, Chris Snow is now the Flames AGM. Doubt they want Risto

Of course they do. This is a terrible deal for the Sabres. Let alone the fact I doubt Zadorov wants to come back to Buffalo as things did not go well the first time around and he was not happy with how the organization handled him. I would consider trading McCabe for him straight up if this were a sign and trade and Zadorov was signing off on the trade but I would not give up two good assets in addition to McCabe for him.

Why are we trading Miller for nothing and then giving Radko Gudas more AAV in a contract to replace him. Just keep Miller as he is a better player

Miller was a healthy scratch half of the year. Sabres lack toughness, and Gudas is a good defenseman.

Miller played 51 of 69 games that is hardly half. 73%. This bar far was Millers toughest year but he faired very well depending on who he played with. Dahlin played better with him than anyone else. Miller has been a positive FF and Corsi player his entire career while Gudas has been a strong negative in those areas his entire career. PDO and point shares also favor Miller much more highly. I don't see what method you are using to deduce Gudas is a better player.

I’m using the, “Kruger would never make him a healthy scratch” Method to choose who is better.

Even if they don't - this is a steal for Calgary - Bennet? Like wtf is he? a 3rd has like a 12% chance in turning into a player that plays 200 games

Ristolainen is a very expensive PP specialist, especially in a flat cap world. If they want that they can re-sign Gustafsson for far cheaper.

Bennett is worth at least a 3rd round pick, I'd rather that than an overpaid player that requires sheltering.

And Kruger has given you his opinion of Gudas as a player

Mittlestadt is at a cross roads. He hasn’t been able to break through on a bad team, and Zadorov gets so much abuse on this site it’s ridiculous. He’s a top 4 defenseman that when he is given a legit role has thrived but in COL he has become Bednar’s whipping boy to an extent. But yeah I thought it was an overpay that’s why I said the AVs accept.

Exactly Mitts is at a crossroads and if other teams do not value his upside then better for the Sabres to hang on to him and see if he develops. He is not blocking anyone else's progress and if he doesn't develop you haven't lost out on anything worthwhile by not moving him now.
