Col has ~5 mil in projected cap space for 20-21. Unless Tor is retaining half of Marner.

And why trade a #1 dman for a 2nd line RW?? Yes. Rantanen would be the 1st line RW...

Honestly I dont see the need for big trades. This Draft year is insanley deep and defenseman from rounds 1-4 other than Drysdale are gonna be talked about for a long time.

In a cap-less EA Sports sort of world, as a Leafs fan, I would consider the deal, but honestly, I would include Rielly going to Colorado, and Graves coming back. Would the AI in EA NHL go for such a crazy deal? Who knows :P

Makar has way more value than marner on even without marners bad contract. This isn't that close

No thanks from Avs. Makar paced for 72 points this season as a rookie Dman. It would be crazy to trade him, especially for a player who would kill our cap.

As fantastic as Makar has looked this is too much to give up and Colorado has no interest in trading thier blue chip RHD for Marner plus
