Purpose of this is to make all 4 lines strong. They can put out any line and expect good results. This line wouldn't get the low ice time traditional to 4th liners

Both the OTT and STL trades favour Carolina.

For the OTT one, lajoie is about equal to fleury. Duclair on the other hand is more valuable than Dzingel. The premise isn’t off but imo drop lajoie and fleury (unnecessary) and have t as Dulair for dzingel and a 2nd or a solid prospect. Also duclair will get paid much more, especially if it’s a long term deal.

For the STL one, drop kostin and it’s closer. Allen hold equal if not more value than mrazek and bozak more than neiderieder.
The 2nd evens out that imo but nothing else has to be or even should be involved

For the jets one, I feel you could get more, but I don’t know much about Gardiner.

kostin's value isn't sky high... he probably carries similar to the fabbri trade.

for OTT: Duclair > Dzingel > Fleury > Lajoie. Fleury's potential remains higher than Lajoie, who seems to be capped as a bottom pair guy.

Fabbri had been struggling in the nhl for 3 years before his trade. Kostin hasn’t even made it there yet. Give the kid some time before you say his value is low.

Sure, I guess u can say lajoie is capped out as a bottoms pairing guy but so is fleury. Imo fleury won’t be more than a 4th d at best. The upgrade isn’t worth it to the sense when they could easily get a good haul for him instead

Why? We need more wing depth, not C depth. Why does trading one of the best defensive forwards in hockey for more centres help?

I don’t see the Canes retaining or sending a 2nd in that deal. The deal as originally proposed was to help save cap space for St Louis, although with Chicago. Bozak would play of Staal’s right side.

No to Edmundson.

Lastly, the Canes need 4 million in cap space for next season to cover this season’s performance bonuses.
