There aren't many buyers in a cap strapped league. Tampa won't be getting "on ice value" in a trade, but will have to face the reality of low trade value for their few players that can be traded.

Until they lose his rights either via trade or offer sheet, they've all the leverage.

Nothing is forcing them to trade the guy. There's other options as well.
