The price is Edmonton's coaching and management's pride.

    But that was already paid.

In terms of value, I think that's in the same neighbourhood, maybe. But the pens top-4 and overall defense would take such a huge hit it wouldn't be worth it. so while a fair offer may be being made here, I don't think it's worth it regardless just because then the pens need another solid RHD. Now in a couple years when the window is closed for the pens, I can totally see players like Marino, McCann, Blueger, Aston-Reese, Jarry, Guentzel, Pretty much everyone under 25 being traded for picks and prospects to start rebuilding for when Sid/Geno/Tanger retire.

This kid was an absolute stud for us, great two-way dman. It would take a haul to get him. I see him as untouchable. GMJR said he will end up replacing Letang when he retires.

There's no point trading Kap and Liljegren for him... just wait a year or 2 and Liljegren will be able to fill the same role that you're giving Marino.

I completely understand that he had no intention of playing with the Oilers and they were forced to trade him, but they traded him for a 6th round pick i think. I just wished they could have gotten more for him.

he was coming off a year where he 0.33 PPG which in college which is not that good. He isnt like fox who was playing really good in college and new york got him for a second and third

That's like asking an Avs fan what Makar is worth to them. He is incredibly valuable to us and will more likely than not be our #1 defenseman when Letang retires. If I were to give you a legitimate offer to what I think the Pens have him valued at is they'd want Nylander back
