No way Ottawa does this. 3+5 is way better than 1st overall.

It's definitely not WAY better then 1st OA. I'd rather keep 1OA rather than trade down for 3rd and 5th unless other pieces are involved. Just my opinion!

If 3 and 5 and up being Byfield and Drysdale I think Ottawa is happy keeping their picks and the Winn 3rd...

This post has The Jets getting Byfield and Drysdale. Getting a 1C and a 1st pairing RD so way better than getting one winger. I know how good Lafreniere is, but there's just no comparison. There's just no way he could have a bigger impact to a team than both of those players combined.

Niku isn't much of an incentive to Ottawa, and 3+5 is still that much better, in my opinion.

I don't disagree. I just don't think either way one option is WAY better then the other. Just personal opinion, I would keep the 1st OA pick no matter what team it is that gets it.

He is better than any of your D other than Chabot....but yes....its up to Dorian to think if getting Laf is the way to go.

Fair enough and it could very well end up working out that way! You never really know. I know personally I would just prefer Lafreniere. There is cases for both options 100%.

He's not better than Wolanin is, and he's not going to be better than Brannstrom will be. Sens have depth on LD.

If anything, it makes more sense for WPG to just draft Lafreniere, and for Ottawa to try and trade for a guy like Nik Ehlers.

Agreed Sabres dont move Risto for this type of deal Blevel prospects. They will want players that can help the roster right now or higher tier picks/prospects. If this is the type of return he gets he will remain in buffalo
