I want the picks in this draft tbh, but if VAN goes to us next year more of a shot to grab Luke Hughes... you never know.

Both of those teams will not be very good next year and we are in that pack most likely. Its not as deep a draft but its more defensive.

VAN will not be a lottery team in 2021. They've got cap issues to work out, but they'll still have a strong roster and the young kids will be even better.

They could lose their starter, and Toffoli. A sophomore slump for a rookie defenceman (Hughes) certainly wouldn't be unheard of, Boeser never plays a full season, if Pettersson misses some time it is entirely plausible.

Exactly! It's not a guarantee, and they will be a good team soon, but would it really be a huge surprise?
