Which team would add if the principle of this trade was agreed upon?

Florida wants to shed salary and Laine will likely be a 10 million dollar player in the near future, dont think they do this.

Winnipeg adds. There's a good chance once Laine gets paid he'll go back to playing Fortnight 10+ hours a day again.

Any trade for Ekblad should include Pionk.

Jets say no to this, even if they got laff there’s a better package out there for Laine.

FLA doesn't have any top pair dman aside from Ekblad, I doubt they do this even if Laine is an hell of a player

Both teams would not do that. Laine has improved his game and is doing very well. Also Florida has defensive issues and Ekblad is there best dman so it makes 0 sense.

With Buff gone the Jets can now build a proper Dcore. Pionk and Morrisey can be the first pairing, they bring back Demelo and build from there.

2c with potential and project rhd added might make it a little more interesting

Joys of where we sit at the table, especially if there’s a flat cap and the ask stays high. Jets need to go all in for windows and attempt championships that way and longterm need to make some strategic sells. But I do also hope that I’m wrong, and window is wide open for longer.

Signing a talent like Laine long term will keep the window open longer.

I was hoping a gamble last summer instead of the 2 year deal, but the ask might have been a little high yet, but I predict a 5x9.5 and dealt in 3 years ish, but hoping for something different

I would've went $8M×8 last year and I would've been lambasted with ridicule but I would of been right, the kid is a star in the making, I was predicting he'd sign a 2 year bridge deal somewhere between what Scheiffele and Wheeler earn and that's exactly what happened but going forward idk what is gonna happen, does he want to sign a long term deal with the Jets or does he want to get to UFA as fast as possible?

I really hope they can get him signed up long term and not to some ****ty Leafs type contract.

Ya was same boat but gambled up to 8x9.25 and ridicule, but attempt to ignore and keep firing out something original and my opinion

Ya he was pretty much sent everywhere for next to nothing and constantly to mtl it seemed for previous salary dumps was my favourite.

Yup with some moronic reasoning about how
Paul Byron was a top 6 winger and it was fair value cause Laine carried so much risk and needed a change of scenery, I'm sure they threw in Hudon cause he was such a valuable extra that really sealed the deal and made it fair... 😂

I love the sell on Tatar, and how such a key contributor and costly add for laine would be
